I came across a simple framework (credit to Simon Whatley) that stopped me in my tracks because of how clearly it explains the gap between wanting something and actually living it.

A goal without a deadline is just a fantasy.
Add a deadline, and it becomes an objective.
Add a plan, and it turns into an intention.
Pair that with consistent action, and you get success.
But fulfillment?
That only happens when the goal actually matters to you.
Personal, meaningful goal + deadline + plan + consistent action = fulfillment.
Not hustle. Not busyness. Not checking boxes.
Fulfillment comes from building toward something aligned with who you are—not just what you think you should want.
